Ralph Devlin AM KC
Board Chair

Ralph recently retired from practice as a Senior Counsel in Brisbane after a career spanning 45 years, 15 of those as a ‘Silk’ in mainly criminal law and environmental law. He is best known on the Sunshine Coast for his 50-year association with Surf Lifesaving. He was President of Surf Life Saving Queensland 2011-2016 and Deputy President of Surf Lifesaving Australia 2013-2016. Ralph also served as foundation Chairman of the Sunshine Coast Major Events Board 2013-2020. It was in this volunteer role that Ralph resolved to form SCCMF to fill what he saw as a gap in the cultural life of our region. Completing his term as Major Events Chairman in January 2020, SCCMF was established by June 2020. Ralph has been a singer all his life and has a lifetime interest in the performing arts. He was made a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in 2016, for Services to Surf Life Saving and the Law.

Lyn Cheetham
Deputy Chair

Lyn is the Director of the Community Engagement Program, working alongside Lynne Bradley to deliver a suite of events that has deep engagement with the community, schools, and emerging artists. Presently she is also a co-chair of CIS (Council of International Schools) and NEASC (New England Association of Schools and Colleges) where she and a team accredit schools worldwide. As the previous Director of the non-profit International School of Lausanne (ISL), Switzerland, Lyn managed a CHF46 million-expansion program enabling ISL to grow by 50 percent while continuing to build on its long-standing reputation of academic excellence with a holistic approach to learning. Along with 20 years’ experience leading international schools, Lyn has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) which has given her a working knowledge and understanding of the corporate, business, and educational needs of a large organization. She has used this to create world class, and economically sustainable, educational institutions. As a resident of the Sunshine Coast Lyn has served on the Sunshine Coast University Governing Council, and as chairperson of the Maroochy Shire Sister Cities Association travelled to China to secure trade deals. Lyn is an avid pianist, a trained musician and music teacher.

Victoria Berry
Treasurer

Victoria has over 25 years of accounting experience within public practice on the Sunshine Coast.  She has worked across a wide range of industries and is passionate about entrepreneurship and start-ups - so much so she wrote a book on starting businesses! As a former Treasurer of Maroochydore SLSC and currently serving on the Maroochydore SLSC, Maroochydore SLSAA and Genneration Innovation boards of directors, her experience in the not-for-profit space is extensive. As a director, past and present, of at 11 companies, Victoria brings significant professional financial management  and governance experience to the Sunshine Coast Chamber Music Board.

Noela L’Estrange
Board Member

Noela L’Estrange is a highly experienced non-executive director. She has worked in both public and private sectors, and brings a breadth of practical knowledge and experience to her interactions. She has particular expertise in leadership, strategic development and business planning, marketing professional services, learning and development, corporate governance and risk management. Very active in the advancement of women in the law, Noela was a founding member of the Women Lawyers’ Association of Queensland and an office bearer for many years. In 2015, in recognition of her contributions to women and the law, she was made an Honorary Life Member of WLAQ.
Her biography is part of the National Library of Australia's Women Lawyers of Note collection.
