For the past 5 years, the nationally-acclaimed musicians in Paradiso Strings have been seducing audiences in SE Queensland into the wonderful world of classical and chamber music with their hugely popular “Concerts by Candlelight” series. Performed in non-traditional venues, their eclectic repertoire (which includes the music of pop and rock superstars, jazz legends, and the best of classical music) has brought delight and wonder to their diverse audience base.
Playing their first Candlelight Concert on the Sunshine Coast, they will regale audiences with the iconic music from the golden age of cinema. In the romantic and intimate setting of one of the coast’s favourite small halls, Paradiso Strings will bring to life the legendary scores from such movie classics as The Magnificent Seven, James Bond, Casablanca, Titanic and Star Wars. Bring the whole family for a night of nostalgia, that promises to transport you back in time to an age of magic, romance and adventure.

Paradiso Strings is a leading string ensemble known for their vibrant musical performances. Their four players - Grace Choi, Iris Doo, Nara Dennis and Deborah Davis - have studied and played professionally both in Australia and around the world. They combine their many years of musical experience with versatile arranging, programming and presentation talents. Together, they create engaging performances which showcase the refreshing combination of classical instruments and contemporary styles. Their wide repertoire spans all genres from classical through to jazz, rock and pop.
