Our Vision 

The Sunshine Coast Chamber Music Festival intelligently reimagines chamber music in a contemporary context, integrating site-specific, cross-form, and cross-cultural elements.  Each year the festival aims to present an innovative program of bespoke events staged in stunning natural locations and intimate venues across the Sunshine Coast.

Our Mission

  • stage a unique chamber music festival that reflects the personality of the Sunshine Coast, celebrating its natural beauty and blend of innovation and tradition

  • embed First Nations artists, producers and stories/culture/language throughout the program

  • introduce new audiences to chamber music through innovative programming that makes classical music assessible by reimagining its modes of delivery

  • reflect and promote the diversity and excellence of the Australian classical contemporary musical culture by engaging international, national and local artists of the highest calibre

  • support living composers through commissions and a program that features Australian artists

  • build the region's cultural capacity through the festival’s Community Engagement Program, which includes a mentoring program and free concerts in schools, aged care facilities and the Sunshine Coast University hospital.
