Cultural significance

The SCCMF was designed with cultural significance at its core, showcasing the immense history and diversity within the local region. The festival marks a celebration of our region’s ancient Dreamtime stories and Aboriginal legend through artful performances. The program highlights the important role First Nations people continue to play within our creative community, and seeks to inspire a continuing bright future for Australian classical music.
